Cantalao Natural Park -in the Peñalolén commune- is ideal for families and seniors as it has gently sloping trails. It has impressive views of Santiago and it preserves old military magazines that are inserted in a forest in an excellent state of conservation with an abundant biological diversity in the midst of a privileged natural landscape.

El Litre- Guayacán
This route enters at the foot of Cerro La Cruz (2,552 m.s.n.m) through the sclerophyllous forest, arriving at Plaza del Quillay, a place of rest and meeting. The route offers beautiful views of Santiago and the valley of Cerro La Cruz to the east. It is a trail recommended for children, families and the elderly, due to its low intensity, technical level and tree cover that provides shade throughout the circuit. In the Administration sector there is a set of ecological dry toilets that must be occupied according to the instructions for use. Organic waste only. Maximum altitude 1,050 m.s.n.m. Total unevenness 80 m.

· Type of Trail: Low intensity.
· Extension of 1.5 km. approx. circuit type. Going there and back takes 1 hrs. approx.

Sendero Torres
This route goes into the northern sector of the park through the sclerophyllous forest using the old path of the towers. The route offers beautiful views of Santiago and the valley of Cerro La Cruz (2,552 meters above sea level) to the east. It is a trail recommended for those looking for something more intense in a short distance. In the Administration sector there is a set of ecological dry toilets that must be occupied according to the instructions for use. Organic waste only. Maximum altitude 1,220 m.s.n.m. Total unevenness 240 m.
· Deadline for entry: 16:30 hrs
· Duration of the trail: 1 hour
· Type of Trail: Medium intensity.
· Extension of 3 km. approx. Going there and back takes 2 hours. approx.

Alto Cantalao
This route goes into the hydrographic basin at the foot of Cerro La Cruz (2,552 m.s.n.m) through the sclerophyllous forest and next to old watercourses. The route offers great tree cover and towards the end beautiful views of Santiago and Cerro La Cruz in its rockiest expression. It is a trail recommended for those looking for more intensity in a short distance. In the Administration sector there is a set of ecological dry toilets that must be occupied according to the instructions for use. Organic waste only. Maximum altitude 1,247 m.s.n.m. Total unevenness 270 m.
· Deadline for entry: 16:00 hrs
· Duration of the trail: 1 1/2 hour
· Type of Trail: Medium intensity.
· Extension of 2.5 km. approx. Going through it there and back takes 3 hrs. approx.

Tirolesa
Desplazamiento de tirolesa de 206 metros de largo a través del Parque Cantalao. En dicha tirolesa, los clientes podrán disfrutar de vistas únicas de la ciudad de Santiago y también del contrafuerte cordillerano. La actividad consta de dos lanzamientos de la tirolesa y también disfrutar del parque con sus senderos e instalaciones. La actividad completa tiene una duración de 2 horas aproximadamente.
El horario de comienzo de la actividad es a las 10:00 hrs.

How to get?
From the intersection of Avenida Álvaro Casanova with Las Palmas, in the commune of Peñalolén, go up Las Palmas to the end of the street where the access to the Club de Campo Militar (entrance to the Park) is.
El bus de Transantiago recorrido D02 y D18 son los más cercano al ingreso al parque. Debe bajar del bus en la intersección de Avenida Alvaro Casanova y Las Palmas, para luego subir hacia la cordillera por esta misma calle hasta el ingreso en la guardia militar.
